Bathing in Nature

What senses do you use when you are out?

Usually, we are just scraping the surface with our lens of what is “normal” without actually seeing the world.

How much are the leaves bigger today?

What can you see in the mud of the pond?

How does the sky look in the water?

Is there a sleepy bumblebee who needs some nectar to restore its energy?

Or can you hear the air bubbles popping in the mud? How many sounds are around you? Have you closed your eyes and tried to count them?

Have you stroked the moss on the tree?

Have you joined the puddles together and watched how the water flows now?

Have you picked up the stick from the ground because it is so special?

We used to do all of this when we were children. And then most of us forgot it. Forgot to see the world with an open heart.

Now we are trying to re-discover and re-learn it by putting fancy words and scientific research behind what was so natural and true when we were kids.

This is actually real bathing in the forest, bathing in nature, and being with it together. Seeing a world with eyes full of curiosity and wonder. Enjoying the simple being.
